Last week I attended the Wed Eve Kanikapila in Kailua Kona.
A very nice group of folks there. Lots of good music, some hula and plenty of aloha. They did not even mind that I played guitar instead of ukulele ;>)
If you are in the area, I recommend it.

No way my OM was going to sound out over 7 or 8 Ukulele in full strum. Ok though because my playing was marginal at best. Everyone, especially Jack, was very welcoming. Learned a few new songs that I have not heard at kanikapila before.

The Kanikapila is in the main dining room at the Keauhou Beach Resort on Alii Drive... about half a mile north of the Keauhou Shopping Center. It starts at 6 and goes to 8 or so. Jack Knight runs the program, and they have a Yahoo website - http://launch.groups.yahoo.com/group/meleohana/
