Posted - 11/21/2011 : 09:13:48 AM @ Ric Yes if I could start collecting pdf files of songs, we could display them on the TV monitors and not have to deal with paper copies !! |

Posted - 11/10/2011 : 08:08:17 AM Too many strange things happening these days. Have not touched my guitar since June, am just too busy. However, will try to make it over there sometime soon, but I will have to scrape off the rust and reacquire the finger callouses!
Glad it went well for yooze guyz.
P.S. - How is the parking there? (it was pretty bad at Mission City)

Posted - 11/10/2011 : 07:51:46 AM Mahalo Les for organizing these monthly open mics and kanikapilas. Da Kine Cafe is a nice venue with good food and drinks. It's been too long since we've had Hawaiian open mic opportunities, and it was fun to do a few solo numbers as well as the impromptu jamming at the end with Genaro, Joe Ho, Irv and you. Mahalo for letting me borrow your guitar, due to the unusual feedback issues on a couple of my strings.
Props to mike2jb for sharing his slack key--looking forward to hearing more! Julie and Lawrence, where were you guys? I'm sure Sil and Art would have come, except they had rehearsal for their little gig opening for Kalapana on Sat. This open mic reminded me of the ones we used to have in San Jose and Santa Clara in the good 'ol days.
Aloha, Doug |

Posted - 10/30/2011 : 7:43:30 PM Hey, that sounds like fun!
I happen to know the area, as I went to Fremont High School across Highway 9. (That's what it was called in those days) Won't tell anybody when I graduated, but I should have no trouble finding da place!
Julie
PS Anything goes? Uke, guitar, etc? |
