Daniel Ho Creations released 5 new CD's this year with hopes for at least one Grammy nod. I thought they were all terrific. Here's a link to some info:

Any thoughts?

Hi dan,
I recently picked up two of these; Aloha Pemuhana by Darlene Ahuna, and Ho'ola i ka Poli by Kumu Frank Hewett.

With both albums, I'm enjoying their simplicity in production; Basic productions focusing on the singer, with just enough behind them.
I like how piano is added in both of these selections.

Aloha Pumehana, by Darlene Ahuna

Any Darlene Ahuna recording will always find itself welcome among my CD's. I like the piano accompaniment here, with Daniel. So great to hear Darlene's sweet voice on a fresh recording.

Ho'ola i ka Poli, by Kumu Frank Hewett
I've been listening to this CD, all the way through, pretty much every day, since it arrived. Again, really straight forward and simple, but it's really grabbed me. The piano and other backing is minimal and... jus' right.

Ross
