I am asking $300, It has it's original case and it's the one with the wood inlays that I've seen discussed here I think twice.

I'd say you shouldn't have any trouble finding a new home for it.
I've seen similar vintage ukes in awful shape for far more money on the walls of various music stores around Oregon. Seems someone figured that any old uke or beater guitar from the 50s must be worth at least a grand or two. Sheesh.
