CHANGES IN RESIDENCY
REQUIREMENT & ELIGIBILITY FOR
ALBUM OF THE YEAR
This is a reminder about a change in
eligibility requirements for the Album of the
Year category that allows non-resident
producers may be eligible in this category,
provided that the artist on the album is a
Hawai‘i resident, and that 75% of the album
was recorded in Hawai‘i.
As with the genre and adjudicated category
changes noted previously, these changes will
also take effect for 2011 releases, and will be
applied to those releases entered for this
year’s 2012 Nā Hōkū Hanohano Awards.
