I probably the last to know this -- but iTunes has a VAST selection of out of print CDs and old vinyls. What a joy! I did a search for "hula" and got 6 pages (yahoooo!). Will search for "aloha" and others as time (and my $$) allows.

No liner notes of course -- but to get these "lost tracks" is better than not having them at all, IMHO!

While I see, and hear Russell's POV, it is nice to know there's a convenient way to get OOP stuff. For many of us, it's accessible, quick and affordable.
I've often been frustrated in acquiring BOOKS, as well as cd's... in the vintage stuff.
Hapa's book, the Leonard's Red book, etc,
but also always looking some of the OOP recording stuff from Gabby, Sons of Hawaii, Sons of Makaha, etc.
And keep an eye out for old vinyl in the antique places!
Thanks for the reminder on a great option Maria.

And since we have so much tech and other talent here in the patch, maybe someone has some entrepreneurial fire and wants to find a better way?
New paths can be built. Of course, I'm NOT the techie type!

Only problem is that Apple pushes their wretched iTunes app at you. There's a non-iTunes search page on the site, but it's very limited. Since I will never own an iPod and am capable of doing almost any kind of audio recording and editing outside the Apple walled garden, I've never had to mess with their restrictions.

I guess I'll be sticking with eBay (an even more horrible outfit, in other directions) as my source of OP Hawaiiana.
