Posted - 04/25/2012 : 08:48:30 AM I have been so deeply disappointed with the nominations and award winners of the past that I don't even bother reading the announcements or results threads. Not even curious anymore. |

Actually written by Lonzo and Oscar, who premiered it on the Grand Ole Opry back in the 40's. Homer and Jethro covered it in the 50s and had a big hit with it. |

"E kala mai" should do...but considering the topic and how much dead horse detritus is associated with it, I think hijacking is a wise path. |

... then I'm my own grandpa!!
Another fine song that has stood the test of time without an award.
(Ambrosius: If you aren't familiar with the song to which I am referring, try http://gean.wwco.com/grandpa/ ; it's also on YouTube in various versions.) |

Well, using Google Pics for translations, may have it's side. I see that now. Got to admit I was hoping for an introduction. Not the first time I fancy a pals mom, by the way |

Yeah ... yeah, right. You guys use so many fancy words. Without Google pics I wouldn't stand a chance. Like Terry and his 'haole roots'.
Thanks to Google, I got it. This lady, Mrs. Hapa Haole, shows up on search word 'haole',

so it's obvious his mom.

"Monster Mash" was a huge hit fifty years ago (1962), but not an award-winner. I think that supports your point perfectly. |
