Aloha kakahiaka kakou! Its Mele Monday! Its time to ease into your week with some fine Hawaiian music videos. The list starts out this week by honoring a man who has left us all too soon, Braddah Smitty -- Claybourne Hoapili Smith. The loss in his passing is felt by many.

Thank you for your kind words, Tom. I have never heard anyone utter a bad word about Smitty. He is one of the people who I so wished to meet and talk story with. Now I never shall.

Wanda,
Once again, mahalo for all your hard work and for the beautiful tribute to Braddah Smitty. I get chicken skin every time I watch the Eddie Kamae DVD about The Sons of Hawaii and Braddah Smitty tells the story of the little blind girl who was attracted to his music. In my opinion, no one has ever expressed more eloquently the beauty, magic and aloha in Hawaiian music better than than Braddah Smitty when he concludes that story with the words; "Money no can buy"

Aloha,
Ku i keleawe
