Posted - 09/27/2014 : 5:47:18 PM Spending 10 days on Kauai. Friday at the Auana hula competition within the Kauai Mokihana Festival, I'm in line to get a soda and the guy in front of me looks really familiar. I told myself, NO, it can't be who I think it is, but I swallowed my pride and said, "please forgive me, I do not want to embarrass you, but are you Palani Vaughn?
IT WAS and he was sitting right behind me. I was almost speechless, but I managed to introduce myself, drag my wife over and we chatted for a while. I tried to express my gratitude for a lifetime of music in 2 minutes. who cares what else went on, I got to meet Palani Vaughn. If I was 16, I couldn't have been more stars struck. |

Posted - 09/30/2014 : 06:29:23 AM It's wonderful when we get to meet our idols, isn't it? I think I'll start a thread on that very topic in another subject area. |
