Posted - 07/17/2017 : 07:03:28 AM The Hawaiian music scene in Houston is small, but we've started a Ukulele Meetup that does Hawaiian and other styles of world music. A young guy started attending a while back named Joshua Ho'opi'i who has definitely interested his family genes. We have been getting a small kanikapila together, and I thought I'd share his talent. He's been practicing singing driving around in his car to keep from disturbing his family!

Posted - 07/18/2017 : 2:16:09 PM First of all it's great to see you back in the 'Patch. Been a very long time since I've seen you post here.
Mahalo for sharing the videos of your Houston Kanikapila. Good stuff, good music & probably really good fun.
Just browsed through your YouTube channel for the first time in years. I didn't realize you had so many videos uploaded. Looks like you've been really busy the last couple of years. I scrolled through your list of videos & was astounded to find that the "Kani Kiho'alu" video I first remember you from is 9 years old!!! I'm gonna go look through your batch of "Houston Kanikapila" videos & share a bunch of them on Auntie Wanda's FB page. I'm sure people will enjoy them. Keep it up bruddah |
