Posted - 12/21/2009 : 09:30:21 AM Keep dear John Koko in your heart and prayers. Word is that he suffered a heart attack Friday evening at Chai's and was brought back around with CPR. He is getting stronger and stronger, we hear. I know all of our collective positive thoughts and prayers and help him recuperate.
We love you John! |

Posted - 01/12/2010 : 07:19:19 AM According to the folks at Whittier College, the Jan 16th Makaha Sons show has been postponed til June. Apparently, John had a pacemaker implanted and was doing fine for a few days, but experienced some difficilties later on. He is reportedly doing ok, but wont tour for a while. Hang in there John |

Posted - 12/27/2009 : 09:36:39 AM In a purely selfish mood, I'm assuming that out annual trek to Whittier College to see the Makaha Sons in three weeks is in serious jeopardy. Anyone know for sure? Thanks. |

Posted - 12/22/2009 : 02:35:29 AM From what John has told me, he has already had two valve replacement surgeries. This latest was a out and out heart attack where he had to have CPR performed to bring him back around. Thank Heavens someone know how to do it and that it worked! I think he is on the mend already. We have talked about how hard it is for him to eat properly and "behave" with the diet while he is traveling. They have been running so much lately one day at home, next day California, next day Oregon, etc. And throw Japan into that mix. Well, our friend is going to get a rest now, for a while. But the forced rests, well, I no like them and I;m sure John no gonna like eedah. |
