Posted - 01/10/2011 : 01:14:37 AM Aloha kakahiaka kakou! Oh boy oh boy, have I had fun this week listening to these videos. Oh my there are some precious gems this week. Rare finds, available to us because folks care enough about the music to share it with the world.
Sit back, get your cup of tea or coffee -- oh, and don't forget the Kleenex, because you are definitely going to feel some wai maka.
Edddie Kame, Mike Ka`awa, Analu Aina – Uncle Eddie singing “Morning Dew”. It is only a little bit, but so touching to hear Uncle Eddie sing this in his husky tutu man voice. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q7Mfq7_njXY

Posted - 01/12/2011 : 02:35:44 AM Kurt "Cowboy" Meyer has a You Tube channel, meepo968, with some of the finest videos we have seen in a long, long time. He is the one who has posted the IZ, Henry Kapono, Cyril Pahinui & Roland Cazimero videos, the video of Keiki Hula with the 5th grade girl. Now he has posted a 5-segment video of a pre-show tribute to the Queen for the Keiki Hula competition. He has a 2-segment video regarding Hana, Maui and some other videos on Willie K and Henry Kapono. I highly recommend you visit his channel and check out his videos. All he wants is to know that folks appreciate the videos, so please leave him a comment on his videos as you watch them. I sure appreciate the invaluable history he has shared with us. These are precious gems.
