Aloha, y'all. Thumbs and me been on Oahu since last Thursday, staying in Kalua. Thursday night at the Moana Terrace sitting in with the Keawe's and doing a mini set. Saturday, lesson with Alan Akaka. Alan's mission is to get me clear of mainalnd country sound and into sounding Hawaiian - good luck (please!!!) Sunday, Kualoa Ranch kanekapila with local folks then mini set at the Kona Brewery with Led, where we met Fran Giudry! Yesterday morning, jammin' with Fran at his place, then over to Ozzie Kotani's to jam with him and young Peter Moon (wow!). Tonight, meet with friends, tomorrow Aloha Bowl swap meet and Kanekapila's Grill with Cyril, then home Thursday. What a week! The immersion here is the juice that keeps me running back home. Auwe, sitting in the airport, headed home. But not without some trouble, it seems. United is having problems staffing our flight so we got pushed back from 7:45 to 11:00 departure.
Great to finally meet thumbs and slipry1, we had a mighty fine morning kani.

Hey Jack, sorry haven't been able to hook up with you but my schedule has been crazy with my daughter's functions. I know you'll be back in a few months so garans we'll hook up then. Glad you're having a great time though.
