Posted - 02/07/2011 : 07:52:20 AM Aaron is also a remarkable inlay artist, his custom instruments feature unique and gorgeous decoration.
Norman De Costa is one of Hawai`i's hidden treasures, as you can hear on this video. The first time I heard him sing I almost fell out of my chair. There are two more on the KimMarkham site as well, seemingly from the same evening. Norm is working on a CD with Kevin Brown producing, but it's going kinda slow.

Posted - 02/07/2011 : 03:32:21 AM Hey Wanda
It's Aaron Oya who is playing with Ramon. Aaron will be sitting in for Bruddah Sam on bass with Ke Kani Nahe on Feb 11th & 18th @ Nico's when we fill in for Ramon. Aaron also sat in with us when we did the month of October at Nico's while Ramon was visiting the East Coast.
How cool is that bass guitar Aaron is playing? Well the buggah built it himself!!!! And that awesome ukulele Ramon is playing was also built by Aaron who said it was made of scrap wood. That uke is sweet instrument, I've played it many times. I don't bring my uke to Nico's I just bum Ramon to use his |
