Posted - 02/14/2011 : 02:47:04 AM Happy Valentine's Day all you sweeties! Time to listen to some good Hawaiian music. Since it is Valentine's Day, I included a few clips of my favorite love song "Waiulu". If you get tired of that beautiful song, there are plenty more to keep you occupied.
Please join us in sending aloha and prayers to Uncle Ronald Kanahele who has been diagnosed with stage IV lung cancer. This is a man who truly loves and malamas traditional Hawaiian music. At last year’s Gabby Waimanalo Kanikapila, Uncle Ronald with the Abrigo `Ohana as Emily sings “`Alika”. Watch carefully to see if you can spot Palani Vaughan, Duke Domingo, Me & Derek. Mahalo to Carmel for the great video and the great memories of an unbelievable day. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tpEtVcIyDvg

Posted - 02/15/2011 : 01:34:43 AM Thanks, Derek. The other Halekulani video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6LgcfMG4gk8&feature=feedu is Nate Stillman on bass. Not sure yet who the other gentlemen are. They are singing Uncle Bill Kaiwa's mele, "Halekulani" which Uncle Bill wrote in 1968 while he was featured vocalist at Halekulani.
