Hi All:
I have heard that Ozzie Kotani will have a second volume of instruction some time soon. Does anyone know when or who will publish it?

Sarah and I talked to Ozzie at the Ritz-Carlton Grammy concert/party. Turns out that Ozzie is spending a lot of time giving back to the local community by teaching older kids slack key (and he is *not* cherry-picking them). So the second book is kinda on hold, although I guilt-tripped him by telling him that he "owed it to the World" to publish it. As always, Oz is doing what he thinks is pono.

I was shopping on Overstock.com for a voice book and found Ozzie's first book for only $14.83 plus $1.40 shipping. They also have the Hawaiian Rainbow DVD at under $7.00

Thanks for the update. Since the CD just came out it looks like it might be a while for the book of tab. I will just have to be patient. Thanks.

Hello George,
I talked with Ozzie recently about this. He told me that he was not really going to put out a second volume of instruction per se, but he was going to put out a book with tab for a whole bunch of his music. He said much of it would coincide with the material on newly released CD. I actually talked to him before his CD came out, so he said he was focused on finishing the cd and getting it out and then was going to work on the book. His stuff is great so I can't wait til its out! |
