hi all - been a while since I have posted here. Just saying hi. I'll try and contribute more this year. I play steel and slack key and a bit of uke, but I guess in the Hawaiian style I'm most comfortable on steel. I also play pedal steel, banjo, fiddle and dobro. Currently I'm the staff 'string' guy at the Arizona Opry in Apache Junction AZ. (www.azopry.com) I'm getting ready to relocate for the winter show season there. I spend the summers playing steel in Colorado. I'm also on the board of the Hawaiian Steel Guitar Assoc. (www.hsga.org). We just had our 25 annual Hawaiian steel convention in Joliet IL - it was big fun. Greg Sardina was our honored guest. Next year this event will be even better, so I'll keep you all posted on that as we get close to OCT 12! Aloha - Chris |
