Posted - 04/03/2014 : 01:25:16 AM Hi I have recently become interested in slack key and think it is a unique sound with some beautiful pieces and I want to learn more about it. I have also recently come across the wonderful voice of Israel Kawakawiwo'ole in particular his version of Opae E. Does anyone know if this is tabbed in any books?
Regards
Peter

Aloha e Iptx31
Don't know of a Tab for Opae E tabbed for Slack Key Guitar.
Of course Bruddah Iz played mostly Reggae (a.k.a. Jawaiian) style on his Uke after he left the Makaha Sons of Ni'ihau.
But welcome to the patch anyway, and maybe someone will chime in with a source you can use.
You probably already know that you can find the words to most things at huapala.org, at least to get started.
