Hi All,

Born and raised on Oahu but moved to mainland for school and decided to stay here. I am trying to teach myself slack key and enjoying it very much. I hope to learn a lot here and enjoy the company

Thanks guys. As my name suggests one of the artists I like a lot is Keola Beamer (love Seabreeze and Honolulu City Lights although they aren't super heavy on the slack key) and another Ledward Kaapana (Mauna Loa Slack Key is one of the most impressive things I've ever seen). My ultimate goal is to try to be able emulate some of their styles and play a few of their songs along the way. Mo bettah if can talk story about it as I learn.

Howzit Sea Breeze

Welcome to the 'Patch & hope to bump into you often here. I'm living in downtown Honolulu. I'm right on N. Vineyard Blvd a block from Foster Botanical Gardens. If I can help you with tabs or pointers just let me know. I'll be happy to share the mana'o.

(And lots of stuff on lots of Tangential topics too)

Have fun...

Welcome to taropatch. No betta place to be when you are starting out on this journey.
There are lots of good instructional video and text materials available these days if you want some help and can't find any in person. Just ask and someone on here will have an answer or recommendation.
