Hi Everyone,
Alan Akaka is organizing an attempt to set a world record for the largest Hawaiian steel guitar ensemble. This event will take place at the Windward Mall on Sunday, May 13 at 1 pm. The more steel guitarists that would like to participate, the better. The featured song will be "Nani Waimea". Alan will have his Ke Kula Mele haumāna as well as Bobby Ingano and other steel guitarists join in the fun. This event is open to beginners, intermediate, and advanced steel guitar players. For tabs, mp3s, and more information, please contact Alan Akaka: info @ kekulamele.com.
A Hui Hou,
the Abrigo 'Ohana
P.S. If you do decide to join in the fun, please let Alan know you found out about it here on Taropatch.net. Maybe he'll share the link with his steel guitar students and we can grow this part of the website!

So sad for me. I have to be in Los Angeles on the 13th, or I'd stay on Oahu a couple of weeks extra.
