Has anyone come across a good stand for a Frypan? I'm not talking about one for playing, but as a safe place to hold it while not playing. I have yet to find a guitar, violin, mandolin or ukulele stand that worked comfortably.

+1 for Hercules. Easily grabs the headstock of my Oahu Squareneck:

This is a 3-gtr stand but they make a single one that oughta grasp a Rick Fry-pan headstock. The "grasp" is initiated by the weight of the guitar pulling down and closing the fingers that hold it in:

Thanks for the info slipry! That looks like it just might work, and I may have to try one out. I appreciate your help.

Try this one. The instument is held in by an elastic strap at the nut. http://www.musiciansfriend.com/accessories/hercules-stands-single-guitar-stand-with-folding-yoke/453081000000000. There sevreal like it out there.
