I have been thinking of using and old baraatone Uke as a lap steel? Raising the nut and adding a pixkup, thine slack key any feed back? fred

Sounds like a neat experiment! Why not try it as an acoustic before you drop a pick up in it? Do us all a favor and post a video of the process and the end result!

Oh - I wouldn't convert a baritone - only 4 strings, and you need at least 6 for a Hawaiian sound.
