A friend of mine and I are looking for a steel guitar teacher here on Oahu. Any suggestions/referrals would be greatly appreciated.

Alan Akaka. Yes, I know he was already mentioned, but that's because he is the FIRST name in steel guitar.

He is more eagerly looking for students than ever - as attested to by his four-times-an-hour commercials on KINE radio.
