I have been listening to Pandora Radio, and there is a steel guitar player named Nani Wolfgramm who is pretty good. I have never heard of her before, and can't find any info on the web (except her album). Does she live in Hawaii? Where does she play? Anyone?

Aloha,
-Konabob

Yeah, anyone else I mentioned it to also assumed "female" - as did I, before researching.

He's from New Zealand - don't know if he's still around, but his uncle was Bill Wolfgramm, who recorded albums of Maori songs (and died about seven years ago).

Nani is a "he" and Amazon has some listings for "Nani Wolfgramm & His Islanders." Monitor Records issued some of his stuff in the mid-90s, with Smithsonian Folkways doing later reissues.

I don't know the answer, but a +1 on Pandora Radio. I got a new cell phone and created a Hawaiian music station. Instead of wishing that XM Radio would add Hawaiian music, I just plug my phone into my car stereo using Pandora.
