The Native Arts and Cultures Foundation, a national charity dedicated to the revitalization, appreciation and perpetuation of Native arts and cultures, has awarded a total of $200,000 in awards to 12 American Indian, Alaska Native and Native Hawaiian artists.
Among those chosen this year:
Cyril Pahinui (Native Hawaiian), Waipahu, Hawaii - Music ($20,000)
Kapulani Landgraf (Native Hawaiian), Kaneohe, Hawaii - Visual Arts ($20,000)
Christopher Kaui Morgan (Native Hawaiian), North Bethesda, Md. - Dance ($20,000) |
