For us, Sunday on O`ahu means a trip to Honey's at the Ko`olau Golf Course in Kane`ohe. Mike Kaawa heads up the Hawaiian Boy Crew with Analu Aina and Paul Kim, playing all kinds of sweet Hawaiian music. On our last Sunday of our most recent trip I brought the camera bag along and managed to catch a few tunes from their show.

Here's Mike doing one of our favorites among his original compositions, "Kula`ila`i" from his "Hawaiian Boy" CD: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=556sdAEvGgE

This one features Paul Kim singing lead on Alvin Isaac's "Ahea No Ho`i La" - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6aHN2e2pbbE

It's pretty amazing to me that we can stroll into a sports bar at a golf course and see performers of this caliber. You can see why there's such a crowd of regulars at their show. If you're on O`ahu on a Sunday afternoon they start around 3 PM so you can cruise out to Kane`ohe and enjoy their show then head over to Hawai`i Kai to see Ledward at Kona Brewing, or go back to town for one of the evening shows in Honolulu.
