Kaua`i musician Mike Young passed from brain cancer (I think). I found about it from Kawika Kahiapo's facebook. He played Hawaiian music around the islands for decades and wrote some great tunes. His regular guitar was Peter Moon's old Takemine, so you can imagine the mana. Mike was my friend and a genuinely nice guy, not only because he let me sit in on his gigs at the Casablanca in Po`ipu. He was always gracious to my friends and my wife, Mary. I always enjoyed seeing him on my trips to Kaua`i. We will miss him. |

Just saw this. Very sad. I have some fond memories of him myself. Thanks for letting us know Terry.
Aloha to you and Dusty too. Been too long since we've talked on this site. Reading news like this reminds me how short and fragile everything is.
