A friend dragged me into the Ho`omaluhia Garden in Kane`ohe and as soon as I saw this magnificent place I first kicked myself for waiting so long to visit and second knew I had to shoot some video there. We snagged Ledward and made the trip to the park yesterday, here's the first result, a version of "Kolomona Slack Key:"

Just to remind you guyz - I'll be on Oahu all of April, stay Kailua. Except for 4/9-12 when I'll be in Ka'anapali, Maui for the Hawaiian Steel Guitar Festival. |

Led will always be Led so I'm used to that....But Fran your accompaniment is impeccable on this video. You're locked in to the rhythm. You're doing some intricate stuff that compliments Led without clashing at any point & time. Then most of all I love the walking bass line inter-twined with the alternating bass. You look & sound very polished.
BTW Led told me we 3 should get together because you were staying in Hawaii for 3 months. We gotta iron out the details to do it. I got another 4 friends I'd like to join us if that would work. I actually got a hundred friends that would want to sit in but the 4 NEED to do it lol |
