Posted - 04/03/2014 : 07:54:46 AM I am wondering if anyone knows what year Melveen Leed recorded Pauoa Liko Ka Lehua. I found it on a Pau Hana Party CD from Cord Int.
I do a slack key version of this mele and would like the info so I can tell an audience (Mayday party next weekend) something about the version I based my arrangement on.
In this version she is backed up by several famous slack players; Sonny, Atta, and Gabby as I recall. |

Posted - 04/05/2014 : 4:43:38 PM That particular version (with Atta Isaacs) came from her vinyl, MELVEEN WITH THE BEST OF SLACK KEY.
The vinyl was re-released as a CD in 2005: http://www.mele.com/music/artist/melveen+leedwith+the+best+of+slack+key/ |

Mele.com is usually the first place I look for info on Hawaiian music recordings.
