Wow, I just looked up Ledward's lovely "yellow album," the CD they call "Ki Ho`alu - Hawaiian Slack Key Guitar," and discovered that it's out of print and going for over $30 used on Amazon. If all my CD collection would appreciate like that I'd be rolling in the dough!

This is significant because one of the tunes on that CD, "Waimea Lullaby," is one that Ledward and I have been playing recently. I finally got an OK recording of the tune in our living room here in Walnut Creek.

Led and Sharon pulled out today to connect up with George Kahumoku for their tour. If they're coming near you be sure to get to the show!

Dear Fran, Gone an done it gain. This is so purdy. I learned a version in drop C based on the one Led did on his second dancing cat CD (I think black sand), where he overdubbed a gorgeous uke top part. It is a beautiful song and you sound so good together. Keep posting. I love it

Fran,
Thank you so much for posting your sessions with Led. They provide me with great inspiration to continue my study and are great for playing along with. Your videos are probably the closest I will get to actually playing with the greatest living kiho'alu master.
Mahalo,
tom

Well that sure lowered my blood pressure a few notches...loverly!! As for the tour, they'll be *very* close to me...Uncles George & Richard, and their ladies, will be staying with me. Still got a few spots available for their workshops/potluck/jam here, too :-)
