I just saw this on Facebook today. Michael Cord of Cord International has passed away. While I didn't know Michael well, I did exchange emails with him a couple times. It was an honor to connect with someone so passionate about Hawaiian music.

I am a big fan of all the vintage slack key recordings that Cord put out.
  • THE HISTORY OF THE HAWAIIAN SLACK KEY GUITAR
  • THE LEGENDARY RAY KANE Old Style Slack Key
  • THE LEGENDARY LEONARD KWAN
    THE COMPLETE EARLY RECORDINGS
  • Atta Isaacs 2-Cd Set

Sympathies and condolences to his family.
