I remember LP liner notes too, and some of the great photography and graphics on album covers. The art work was part of the experience, but that has gone by the wayside. No male my age will ever forget the gal in whipped cream on the classic Herb Alpert album.

Album art got really small with CD inserts, and disappeared entirely with MP3 downloads. To offset that, you can go to a band's web site and see a lot more info and photos than any album could contain.

CD liner notes? Foo, I remember LP liner notes (saith the wacky ol' bat).

Do they have a web site? Many groups post lyrics on their web pages or as part of the CD liner notes (remember those?). Or they might respond to an email. Worst case, there is always the hard way - transcribing it yourself.
