Does anyone have any tabs of any established artists or any intermediate level on up (Taro Patch G tuning) with their or personal interpretations of any Paniolo or Hawaiian classics that may dwell in the realm of Folk songs; that they may be willing to sell. I'm in the final stages of prepping for my Iraq deployment and would like to accomplish a few goals that I've set for myself: (1)Learn some classic slack key songs (Radio Hula is my alltime favorite, brings me back to Kam School). (2)Get back to my fighting weight (one-time natural welterweight), and (3) sing good enough so the coyotes stop howling and actually listen. THANK YOU MY TARO PATCH OHANA!

Mika ele, Wilco Roger. "malama na koa", sounds like a theme for a song. Thanks brother, me ka ipo aloha nui (lots of aloha from the heart?). Das why hard. Bradda Hikabe where you was Lai road? Da Kawelo family (and some blallas from Palolo housing and me was tight). Thanks for the aloha, but since I'm all hammajang might as well go so some keiki can stay! Remember when Dinosaur mountain caught fire? Beeg story! Did you go swimming at Da Crusha den steal tomatoes from the Chinese Old Man's Home? Wish you didn't have to go. Stay safe. In Palolo, I lived on the other side of Dinosaur Mountain from you. Now I live on the other side of the Culdecutt Tunnel from you.
BTW... All paniolo and Hawaiian classics are folk songs. Hope you find what you're looking for. Aloha... |

Braddda mika ele; I was raised in da Kepanee side of Palolo (Carlos Long)had litto kine Hawaiians. I have Hawaiian blood, went to Kamehameha, but was too hard head to see the beauty that was in front of me, so can translate please? |

Mahalo Ohana! These few treasures are all that I will need to introduce Iraq to the Aloha Spirit. I hope that I will be able to establish a better basic foundation before getting "IN Country" (Some things never change, just the location). Once again thank you from the bottom of my heart. |
