Whichever ringer the network has chosen before the filming starts. You gotta remember WWF rules apply to Idle, America Gots Talons, Ted's Mack and all that stuff. Now, The GONG SHOW, that was on the up & up! Especially The Unknown Comic!

It is also nice to see - as Wanda points out - that it is a one-vote-per-IP method. I often wonder who would win American Idol or the Hawai'i Music Awards if "ballot box stuffing" were not permitted.

This category has been open to votes from the general populace for several years; used to be, the ballots were available at Borders stores in Hawai`i. Nice to see the use of the modern intraweb thingy for it now. |

I think that's OK. "Favorite entertainer" doesn't imply any bonafides. "What we like" and "what's good" are sometimes two different things. And I think a popular vote category sort of accommodates the need for the fervent fan to have some input while the experts judge other more technical aspects.
I voted too. Not saying for whom.
