Does anyone on Taropatch have a copy of the William Namahoe record from the 49 State Record Label with "Music for Dreaming" and "Serenade for Strings" on it?
In Uncle Ozzie Kotani's latest DVD he teaches William Namahoe's composition "Music for Dreaming," but he also asks that if any of his students find a copy of this record that they contact him. When I checked with Cord International, that holds the rights to the 49 State Record Label, I was told that the master recording has been lost, and that they had been searching for this record for years to include the music in a History of Slack Key recording.
Does anyone out there have this bit of vinyl squirreled away somewhere?

Thank you. Taropatch seems like a reasonable place to look for the Holy Grail of slack key recordings. |

Yes, "Music for Dreaming" is on this Cord International release, and on Uncle Ozzie Kotani's intermediate slack key DVD. I think that the problem is that nobody has been able to find a clean recording of "Serenade of the Strings." |
