I recently watch Eddie Kamae's excellent documentary on slack key music, The Hawaiian Way, which features a number of artists. My two favorites were Malaki Kanahele and Roland Kaalekahi, who both gave brilliant performances. Does anyone know of any recordings by these two artists?

I was impressed by Willie K's daddy. What fun they must have had at family parties and such. That whole `ohana has choke talent.

Markwitz must be at work so I'll answer quickly before he responds. I believe that Kanahele was a Ni'ihau "slack key virtuoso" who wrote Pupu O Ni'hau. He is on a four song CD entitled "Ni'ihau" which appears to still be available thru mele.com. He was the President of Ni'ihau School of Kekala and was much admired by Sonny Chillingsworth. How's that Norm?
