Library of Congress website has a wonderful feature called "Natioonal Jukebox". It has an amazing collection of music that can be listened to on-line (no downloading). We have accessed plenty of vintage Hawaiian music. I may even be able to fill in the missing videos on the He Mele Aloha video list. Even with no videos, we can at least have samples of how the songs sound. I will work on that as time permits.
But go and listen and play with this web site. Of course, if your tastes happen to include more than just Hawaiian music, you may be in hog heaven with all the stuff available.

Thanks, Auntie. There's a lot of music on the Library of Congress' website. I found a nice Hawaiian concert on the Library of Congress' website last year:

Here is what Library of Congress has to say:
recordings in the Jukebox were issued on record labels now owned by Sony Music Entertainment, which has granted the Library of Congress a gratis license to stream acoustical recordings. But Sony still owns them. Think of them as books in a library. You can borrow (stream) them, but you can't own (download) them. |

Thank you for the link! What a treasure trove of historical recordings. My ears find it hard to believe that some of these recordings are now over 100 years old. |

Hog Heaven, indeed! The ultimate goal is for the jukebox to contain ALL of the recordings from the acoustic era, the 1880's to 1924, when electric recording started. Their search engine is a little goofy, though. Gotta keep trying different words, but when it gets there, WOW! |
