Posted - 06/23/2011 : 11:27:28 AM A little bird told me that maybe Cyril Pahinui and Jeff Au Hoy are members here. Wondering if they (you) or anyone might be able to tell me if an album is planned, maybe with the estimable Mr. Jeff Kealaokala Teves on bass?
Because gents: you rule.
Apologies if this is an impertinent or stupidly obvious question, but remember I'm a noob so have no problem looking like a dork and just smiling!

Posted - 06/29/2011 : 10:49:55 AM Aloha Mike and Wanda,
Mahalo for your suggestions. We have one album already planning. The two boys has been playing with me for about 3 years now at Kani Ka Pila Grille. Peter is one of my students and is doing very well. Jeff is wonderful steel player. Both of the boys studies my dad and some of the other older players closely. They collect old 78 and 33 records for their iphone. We will be playing together at the Guitar Festival in Redondo Beach this weekend also.
We have some new materials and some traditional ones and looking to start in the studio in September after the Gabby Festival in Waimanalo. gabbypahinui.com
Peter was 21 in March. He is not a Peter Moon Jr. He is Just Peter Moon. His dad named him like that on purpose. And he will now begin to continue his dad's legacy like I do my dad's.
Here is some link for you to enjoy some music on that topic:

Posted - 06/24/2011 : 12:26:19 AM Peter Moon is young. I don't know if he is 21 yet. That is definitely YOUNG. And anyone younger than me is YOUNG.

I like your definition of young Aunty Wanda, and you can call me young any time too! |
