A benefit concert to help subsidize costs involved with ongoing treatments for Marie Espaniola's (Mother of Hawaiian artist Steven Espaniola) life threatening illness: Myelodysplastic Syndrome. She is in urgent need of a bone marrow transplant and is currently undergoing chemo-therapy and other treatments.
Expenses for ongoing treatments have added up considerably and all proceeds from this performance will go to assist Marie including ticket sales, raffle proceeds, refreshment and crafts booth sales.
Polynesian dance companies and solo artists from all over the Bay Area have joined together to contribute and donate their talents in presenting this unprecedented lineup. Performing on the same stage will be recording artists Steven Espaniola, Faith Ako, Kawika Alfiche, and local favorites Garden Island Blend, along with the dancing talents of Nā Mamo No’eau, Te Mana O Te Rā, Hālau o Keikiali’i, Ka ’Ohi Nani o Mana’olana, Spirit of Polynesia, and Olin Caban with Te Otui Fenua.
