I'm a long time fan of Hapa and for the past 15 years or so, have attended their concerts when they come to SoCal. While I'm use to Barry's constant tuning before during and after songs his show at UCI last Saturday night left me wondering if he's OK. Yes, I know from his facebook page he's saying he's in good spiritual and physical health, but during the show he often seemed a bit off constantly starting one topic, switching to another and asking what he was talking about. Jokes missed their mark by thousands of miles, ADD comments and other unplanned events like suddenly leaving the stage for a cigar break left me wondering. It also seemed to be a surprise to his fellow musicians as they fooled around on stage for several minutes trying to figure out what to do next. I hope all is well with Barry and that someone here will assure me that all is well.
