Patrick Landeza hosted an excellent evening of slack key guitar at the Cupertino Ca Odd Fellows Hall on August 17, 2019. Uncle Ledward played a 12-string Martin, a 6-string Martin, and a beautiful custom ukulele as skillfully as ever. Uncle Ledward's singing and talk story were superb. Fran Guidry was playing at the top of his game, which is very impressive indeed. It was a joy to hear Uncle Ledward and Fran playing together. It was a great show! For me the biggest surprise from the show was how well Patrick Landeza played and sang. I just didn't realize he was so good.
Now if only I coud talk them into returning to the Sebastopol Community Center for a show closer to my home.
