Finally some Slack Key in Florida. Jim " Kimo " West will be performing in Downtown St Petersburg, FL on May 18th at Seven C Music. I don't know if I wil be back in town by then but I sure hope so. It's a three hour drive from the East Coast where I am but it's well worth the drive and a treat to get Slack Key in Florida. |

He will be worth seeing. We got to see Jim and Ken Emerson perform in Seattle at a Neej house concert about three years ago. Really good music, together or separate. He also had lots of touring stories, playing in the Weird Al Yankovic band.
We don't get much slack-key around Boise unless I play it, and I don't gig anymore. We get a show at our local theater about once a year, but that ain't much. So I understand being in the musical desert. Enjoy! |
