In the last two years I have received emails from people who are coming to Kona on vacation or as participants in Aloha Music Camp. Often I am asked about the possibility of renting a guitar here rather than bringing going through the "Airline Ordeal".
I just wanted to let folks know that Soundwave Music here in Kona does rent guitars.

If this is the place I am remembering from AMC several years ago, my hubby rented a bass, plus bass amp there.

It's been 5-6 few years now, but have I rented from them. It was an Ovation, a mid-priced model. Not sure, but it was ~$60 for the week plus a new set of strings. I took it aboard the Kona Agressor (live-aboard dive boat). With all the scuba gear, we could not bring along a guitar too. |

No, but if you email Rick with your request, he will try his best to accommodate you. I know several people who have rented from Soundwave while they were visiting, and they all were quite happy with their decision.
