We figure that it only takes two to make a kanikapila.

And about a year ago, I once told Lanet Abrigo that "if you build it, they will come" when she was working hard on organizing a kanikapila on O`ahu. Look what she, Duke, Derek and all the others have created. I figured maybe we can somehow get the word out. If we get one more person every time, well, that's growth, isn't it.

I think we might even have one or two folks come up from the Columbus, OH area.

SO cool that you folks keep pulling these activities together, Wanda & Paul. I know you see what we are lucky to have in Seattle regularly, and you sometimes say "oh, why can't we have that here as well?"

And then you do the work to insure that you DO have it there as well.

And it is the direct efforts of you and your friends that will guarantee that you have a thriving and growing Hawaiian mele, hula, whatevahs scene in your area. Years from now, people from other cities will look at what happens in Cleveland and vicinity and say "why Cleveland? And why not in OUR town?"
