We had a great weekly kani going all summer at a nearby Hawaiian restaurant, but they suddenly closed up shop at Labor Day. I've mentioned this here before.
We were having so much fun that there is a grassroots effort to start it up again, but maybe as a potluck & kani moving from home to home. Once a month minimum, more often if we can make it happen. Now all I have to do is convince the mostly retired uncles and aunties that participate to not make us commute through brutal Friday afternoon rush hour. (We are both still working). They are still talking about Friday evenings..... We are happy to host at our home if that is what it takes.
