I have two, possibly three tickets in the "reserved section seating" to see Keola Beamer in Sebastopol, CA on Friday, April 2 ($23.74 each). Would anyone out there be interested in them?

Hi Janis, I have to be in Windsor on Friday and Corte Madera on Saturday, and am trying to get organized so I'll get to see Keola and Moana again. (I just saw them in Saratoga.) But since I have not found lodging in Sebastopol yet, I have to hold off until I arrange that. I'll email you as soon as possible. Thanks for letting me know. Is the show sold out? Aloha, Julie |

Janis and Julie,
Maybe this was meant to be. Sure, I would be delighted to purchase a ticket from you. And Julie, we have a big house with spare rooms in Healdsburg, and my wife and daughter would certainly not mind one more slack key devotee for a night.

This show was really fun! Everyone was in a good mood, the venue was nice and relaxing. Keola and Moana were in fine form, and Donley got to play along for a couple of numbers on his Po Mahina ukulele. It was very enjoyable, and nice to meet other Taro Patchers: Janis Smiley and William Dixon, and Bill's wife (I think) but I can not remember her name. Sorry. Wish they had stayed after the show because we got a nice photo of all of us, which I will ask Andy to post here. Sheesh, I can run huge programs on my computors at work, but don't know how to post a photo. Ah, but I got my Hawaiian fix for now.
On the photo from left to right: Keola, Julie, Cathe, Moanalani, Sybil, Ross

Aloha e, Andy.... The only thing missing from the photo is you! It was a great performance, beautiful hula by Moana, and Keola laughing at his own playing and Julie and I giggling in the front row. (They're not gonna let us sit together nex' time, I'm thinkin) It's a big room, and it was overflowing with aloha. Sooo glad I could share the evening...

Aloha Andy,
We had a great time for sure. I'll always think of Moana as "Moo-ana" now, as she had us all participating in a paniolo hula she danced with Keola playing(had to be there I guess)!
Moana gave an incredible performance in a piece about a woman who regained the use of her severed limbs, only briefly, in a dream.
I hadn't heard Keola play for a long time and was amazed all over again.
And the show was but five miles from home; what more could one want?
see you, Ross |
