Hello all, I received a Martin Tenor Ukulele for Father's Day. I would like to trade it for a quality acoustic guitar. Does anyone have any idea what it is worth? It is in near-mint condition.

If it's REALLY clean...ballpark $1000 to $1200 if you find the right buyer. |

Ray, what sort of guitar are you hoping to find? And what is the condition and age of the uke?

Hi Fran, I have no idea on the age. I believe Martin stopped making them in 1977? The condition is, as mentioned in my original post, "near-mint". It has been stored in a soft case and apparantly seldom used. The neck is straight. The fretboard, neck, face and sides are perfect. There are a couple of tiny dings on the back.
I am looking for a quality steel-string acoustic guitar that is comparable to the value of the tenor ukulele. I play exclusively in open tunings, fingerstyle.

Hello all. I was able to trade the tenor uke for a Martin guitar! Heartfelt thanks to a generous and kindhearted forum member..... To all the others who inquired: Like Elvis, the uke has left the building.
