Last night was a wonderful night of good slack key music.
Dusty & Sheila,(and Gus) held a nice kanikapila at their beautiful hill-top home in Valley Center.
Attending last night were Dusty/Sheila, Bill & Victoria Benzel, Brudda Ken, Gregg, and Dusty & Sheila's guest from music camp Dick & Pam.
It was a very hot night but we all kept cool with home-brewed beer, and some cool slack-key, and other guitar licks. Dick is a very good player, and Pam can get down on the Uke. As always, food kept me munching and playing.
The hot hand went to Dusty & Bill who played some very good jams throughout the evening.
Plenty mahalo to Dusty & Sheila for hosting.
Next get-together will be at Bill's on the 30th, which by the way will also mark his, and Victoria's 30th wedding anniversary.
This promises to be a magical night filled with lot's of great music.!! (....and food)
