Come hear MAKENA at The Loft Hawai`ian Restaurant & Bar in Torrance.

Makena is the acoustic partnership of singer-songwriters Siena Lee & Toast Tajiri. Their sound is gentle, upbeat contemporary acoustic folk, and has been compared to that of Caroline Aiken, Indigo Girls, Simon and Garfunkel, and The Everly Brothers. Makena has shared billing with fellow artists Jason & deMarco, slack-key guitarists George Kahumoku and Daniel Ho, and ukulele player Herb Ohta Jr. Along with their original songs on the humor and heartache of relationships and the human condition, this unsigned act often performs traditional Hawaiian pieces from their home state and classic pop covers from the '70s singer-songwriter era.
