My wife and I were at the hotel earlier this year and heard a great group (no slack key but a good job on all their music). But I couldn't find out who they were, and they never introduced themselves. The most characteristic thing was the falsetto singing of the lead singer, who also played ukulele pretty well. There was a guitar and an electric bass in the group as well, and they had two dancers. So if anyone knows what group was playing at the Princess Ka'iulani Hotel say back in February, with a good falsettist/ukulele player, let me know who they were. Thanks. LRR

Where at the hotel were they playing? I know Ka`ala Boys play there regularly; sort of a light-reggae sound.

If you can remember which day of the week it was, a call to the hotel's Food & Beverage Manager will get you the answer...

Thanks to all. I think it was the Ka'ala Boys at the Mai Tai bar. Internet has led me to excerpts of their CDs and I'm pretty sure that was the group. Not very traditional, of course, but very enjoyable with a mai tai on the table. Thanks for the tips everyone. LRR

You mean I may have gotten this one right? Woo-hoo! Even a blind squirrel finds a nut, now and then...
